Not the Same
Former Tenant
Pros:
Family friendly. Clean. Friendly and respectful neighbors
Cons:
New management is NOT the same. Non-responsive and high rent increase. Previous management had fair increases and things were taking care of in a timely manner. Long and good tenants being forced to leave due to rent increases.
Advice to owner:
Keeping good tenants can help you out in the long run.

Great Building, Insane Rent Increases
Former Tenant
Pros:
The super is fantastic and responsive and cares about the building and tenants.
Cons:
The previous owners valued tenants and offered more modest increases. I was told when I moved in to expect low renewal increases as the management wanted to keep good people in. This was appealing as who wants to move every year? These increases are substantial and affect everyone (except the rent stabilized folks).Well the original manager died, and then they changed managing agents to Rose Associates. Expect to be raised 500-1000 a year. They do not negotiate rent increases.
