Fine for Starter Apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Came with an air conditioner in the living room. Natural light comes in well into the bedrooms.
Cons:
Had several electrical issues living here and we were blamed for it when it was clearly a wiring issue. Super doesn’t respond to our text messages so we often have to contact our building management directly. Generally clean but did find a roach one time during the summer.

Unresponsive and disrespectful management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Apartments themselves are nice— spacious and appliances worked well. Never had an issue with pest or vermin.
Cons:
Horrible experience dealing with management for my time in this building. Management clearly didn’t care about tenants or the well-being of the building. Tried to renegotiate my lease, they refused to get back to me until days before my lease ended despite many attempts to contact them. I have also seen multiple eviction notices in the building during my time there. Building hallways were not well maintained and very dirty and people left trash in the hallways. Often loud parties/music in the building but thankfully the walls were pretty thick and I was able to manage. Have had several packages go missing during my time there as well, as have other tenants as there have been signs posted in hallways. Management is quite stingy with the heating and I often has to wear multiple layers in the winter time in the apartment. The super tries to be helpful but he clearly receives no support from management and could not answer my questions about the unit. There were many miscommunications between the super and management in my experience— for example hot water was out in the building for multiple days one winter and I received no notification or communication from him.
Advice to owner:
Improve property management and treat tenants with respect. If you have a good tenant who pays rent on time, treats the apartment well, never causes issues, they should feel welcomed not abused. I liked my apartment but could not stand to live with such irresponsible and impersonal management.
