Landlord is the worst I’ve even interacted in my 8 years in the city
Former Tenant
Pros:
The apt itself was in a good condition
Cons:
- Building has a cockroach infestation during the warm months, the landlord is very forgetful when it comes to bringing the exterminator.
- He raised our rent in the middle of the covid-19 pandemic, as a result we decided to leave and now he rented out our apartment for 2/3 of the price.
- He was completely unresponsive with the real estate agent to be unable to reach him as well.
- The building was filthy, probably never been cleaned.
- He failed to provide a landlord recommendation letter, have been asking for over 3 months.
- He gave back the deposit almost three months after moving out, we had to threaten legal action.
Advice to owner:
Literally start caring a bit.
