Pros:
Most people in the apartment building minds there business. It a private building. The landlords passed away and their son took over. It’s only 5 units, 2 floors and a basement where the land lord lives. Most people are friendly and say hi except for the people who live in the 1st apartment. Landlord and his wife are cool and will talk to you. When the lock change the landlord gives the keys right away.
Cons:
The people who live in the 1st apartment are pure evil and mean. They lived in the apartment since the dinosaurs existed and they are so unfriendly and will close the door in your face when they see you coming and you would have to use your key to get in. The landlord son is known as the silver spoon owner on the block because he’s cocky for someone who didn’t have to put in any work for the building. Always put things in writing with him in terms of repairs, payment plans and so on. He tends to “forget” or go back on his word. The hallway is ran down and he does nothing to up keep the look of the building. He fixed up the back year and turned the shed into a kick back spot but have done nothing else for the residents who lives their. The carpet needs to change. And sometimes repair are quick fixes but sometimes doesn’t last long. Theirs not enough pest control because when the weather changes the pest come out. Mice and water bugs come in the being of every season.the door bells do not work. Neighbors don’t recycle properly
Advice to owner:
Upgrade the hallway and mail boxes. Paint the gates and the hallway. Please fix the door bells. PEST CONTROL EVERY 4 - 5 months if not then 6 months. Repair anything broken in the apartments within 10 days max. Tell the people in the first apartment to stop being so mean and closing the door on people or the guy to stop questioning the tenants kids or guest. Whatever happens in someone private space that isn’t relating to abuse or harm to anyone is none of their business.
