Great Gem in the UES!

Pros:
The building has laundry machines in the basement and building management/maintenance is fairly responsive.
Cons:
Basement units are susceptible to roaches and sometimes leaks during periods of heavy rain.
Advice to owner:
More thorough mold inspections and/or building seals to keep basement units dry.

Clean apartment with super thin walls

Cleanliness, monthly exterminator, garbage management, superintendent responsiveness for repairs, affordability
Cons:
Thin walls, floors, and ceilings; broken/ineffective laundry machines; outdated, tiny kitchen; no vent/fan in bathroom; dimly lit bedrooms and living room; awful paint color

Update the kitchens and replace the laundry machines to ones that can handle the amount of laundry that's done each day

Pros:
Overall this building is great. I lived here for 1.5 years never saw a roach or mouse. The appliances are slightly outdated but as long as you don’t mind they work and are good enough. The super is very responsive if they don’t answer right away they will respond within an hour and have great communication.
Cons:
Heat is electric which is nice but I felt cold throughout the winter. The cold air comes right through the window. Also occasionally if my shower went for around 30 minutes the water would start to get old.
Advice to owner:
Apartments could be updated. But overall building for the price is great.

Cozy building in UES

Pros:
- Friendly neighbors
- Close to Q train and nice restaurants in the area
- Safe at night, never had a bad experience walking from the train station at night
Cons:
- The gelato shop around the corner always has a long line of customers waiting, sometimes they also hang out in front of the building.
- Wall is too thin, we can hear foot steps & convos of people who live above us

Good bang for your buck

Pros:
-Apartment size for what you pay is pretty good. Two bedrooms able to fit double bed and dresser and armoire easily
-elevator
-was her and dryer in basement
-rent rarely goes up
Cons:
-building overall could be updated (entrance has old wall paper), sinks and and countertops need updating (could very well be updated since I moved out a few months back)
-small kitchen
