The worst building & management company I’ve seen in 15 yrs
Former Tenant
Pros:
I’d be hard-pressed to think of the benefits of this building or the management company.
Cons:
First rule of moving to NYC. Don’t lease with Solil or Jane Goldman’s firm. They are both incredibly difficult to deal with, disorganized, don’t do what they said and agreed they would do, and don’t uphold their end of the bargain. We have lived in NYC for 10+ years and this is by far and away the worst landlord we have ever dealt with.

Here are a few other points:
-Windows are old and drafty
-Incredibly noisy on 2nd Avenue. You hear EVERYTHING.
-The elevator frequently breaks down
-No trash or recycling on the floor—you have to wait for a long time to go to the basement
Advice to owner:
Run a good business where you respect and do the right thing by your tenants and customers

Trade off great space for crappy building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Floor layouts are generous for the price
Cons:
Minimal services and ZERO responsiveness from management company. Truly the worst
Advice to owner:
Need to be a bit more service oriented for long term renters

Good building with responsive super, but not without its flaws.
Former Tenant
Pros:
24 hour doorman. Laundry room is generally in good condition/working. Kitchen is equipped with new appliances. Pests haven't been an issue and they spray the building regularly. Super lives in the building and is responsive. Nice amenities. Great location.
Cons:
Management company was difficult to work with when we renewed our lease. No gym. The heating/cooling system is old and doesn't allow you to adjust the temperature (just high/medium/low). Water pressure is quite terrible. Some of the doormen are good, but not all.

Solid building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great doormen, staff, clean.
Cons:
2nd Ave is noisy. Only two elevators so some congestion at times.

Solid Building, great experience so far.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Attentive doormen and super. Things are fixed in a timely mannor
Cons:
Lots of noise from outside but hey its NYC. 82nd seems to be a frequent street used by emergency services which stinks as they come down the street blaring sirens/horns etc

Expensive!
