Great building, if even a bit dated.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Excellent, attentive management / services team; excellent location in the UES (i.e. above Whole Foods, near two line subway stops; Good units in terms of quality, floor space, and amenities
Cons:
Building is a bit dated, many units could use updating / touch-up / renovation
Advice to owner:
Continue to find ways to keep units looking spruced up - the building otherwise sells itself!

Awful - Can't wait to move
Former Tenant
Pros:
Doormen and front desk guys are awesome
Cons:
NOISE. Since Covid, I have worked from home but the construction/refurbishment noise is unbearable. They give you advance notice but what good does that do? There's been loud construction noise about 40% of every day over the last year. HEAT. Because this building has many elderly tenants, they keep the heat on during the Spring and Summer even if the temp outside is over 50, so you have to keep every window open to keep from roasting. ELEVATORS. There's only been two out of three elevators in service for the last 18 months and they have no idea when they'll finally all be working. In the meantime, enjoy taking the smelly dirty service elevator!
Advice to owner:
You should tell new tenants that the building is managed for the comfort of it's very elderly tenants and so the heat will be kept blasting most of the time. People should have advance warning that Claridge is essentially a retirement community.

Outdated and Overpriced
Former Tenant
Pros:
The staff at the door and desk are awesome! Great people, caring!!
Cons:
Management is unresponsive, slow. Took 6 weeks to get security deposit back. Huge cockroaches!!!
Advice to owner:
Automate security deposit. Be more responsive to tenants. Consider incentives to keep tenants upgrade apts including stove, dishwasher
