No Hot Water for Three Months, Landlord has not responded to repeated requests.
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is in a nice area.
Cons:
The Landlord did not once respond to my request to have the hot water repaired in my apartment. The Super came to try to repair but was unable to repair, because a plumber was required. My first request was made at the beginning of November 2023! Today is January 12, 2024 and I still have no hot water. The landlord has not sent a plumber and does not respond to my many emails. I have even filed a report by calling 311, but strangely enough they closed the case because they claimed I was not available to let them in. However, they never came out and never tried to call me as is the procedure, 316 East 89th Street Associates, LLC has to be one of the worst landlords in Manhattan. And, by the way, the law requires that lanlords provide hot water to tenant. So they are in breach of the law!!!
Advice to owner:
Please comply with the law to provide hot water to the tenant in your partment!

Great apt terrible noise
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great super and management very responsive and fixed things promptly. Excellent location.
Cons:
I had insanely noisy neighbors and the floors and walls are very thin and the management want helpful in resolving this problem.
Advice to owner:
Instal soundproofing between floors and walls and deal with neighbors that play loud music all night.
