Loud and obnoxious neighbors.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great space for a 1-bedroom. Lots of closet and storage space. Elevator and laundry in building. Main entrance to the building is grand. Current building super and the previous one have been amazing in responsiveness and prompt in action!
Cons:
Extremely noisy neighbors in apartment 5D. Barely any kitchen space which became very relevant in the pandemic. Walls are paper thin.
Advice to owner:
Do NOT advertise that the apartment has hardwood floors because you expect tenants to cover 80% of floor in carpet. And enforce this consistently across all apartments, not selectively. Better yet, do the carpeting before renting. Should advertise that apartments are noisy and may have loud neighbors.
