Great Building Located in a Rat Central Street
Former Tenant
Pros:
Building itself is well maintained, owner is responsive for the most part, apartments are nice with most (if not all) having laundry in unit, and exterminator comes monthly for roach prevention
Cons:
Street is rat central. Every time I’m walking home at night I see at least 4, including some inside the bin where you throw out your garbage. I don’t bother to throw out my garbage at night because I can hear the rats slamming around inside. Super is not responsive (I’m convinced he doesn’t exist) but the owner makes up for it by being responsive instead

Decent apt, quiet, well priced - pest problem
Former Tenant
Pros:
Well sized studio. Good water pressure. Quiet street.
Cons:
Packages stolen three times. Building super unresponsive. Rats in garbage outside all the time. See a dead cockroach in the halls every other month - saw twice inside apt unit. Once a month exterminator comes so early in the morning - he rarely goes into anyones apts.
Advice to owner:
Much better pest control required - really the biggest issue. More consistent hot water. If those two problems were fixed, this would be a lovely place to live.

Super clean and quiet building
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is clean (regular exterminator visits, no bugs or rodents ever seen), my neighbors are quiet and keep to themselves, and management is reasonable and responsive. Every unit has a washer and dryer, most have dishwashers, and some units are recently renovated.
Cons:
The heating pipes can be a bit loud sometimes, but it's not really a big deal. Not related to the building, but if you're in a unit facing the street, it can get a bit loud with honking cars. It's a narrow street and cars blocking the road cause traffic and honking, but it's NYC and that's common everywhere.
Advice to owner:
No advice, really. I liked living here.
