You will regret moving here
Former Tenant
Pros:
The location is great and quite few neighbors are older and have been here for decades. They care about where they live and take time to sweep the hallways.
Cons:
The basement (where you drop garbage and do laundry) is infested with rats. They have a roach problem too. They will crawl under your door from the hallway. The have peat services every first Saturday but they don’t even knock on half the doors so you’ll get service maybe twice a year instead of one a month. Don’t expect to get things fixed in your apartment in a timely manner (if at all). The laundry facilities are constantly broken and when they are not you have to fight rats to wash your clothing. Management does nothing to clean this building. Take a look at vents and elevator shaft The walls and floors are thin. You will hear your neighbor cough. There’s a guy on the third floor who literally just screams daily for not reason.
Advice to owner:
Take care of the pests, listen to your residents

the biggest roaches you’ve ever seen
Former Tenant
Pros:
location, elevator, laundry room except when you’re sharing it with rats and roaches
Cons:
i think i mentioned the roaches. also have seen multiple rats in the trash and laundry rooms. no noise insulation from upstairs (i can literally hear them burp). rent increases go crazy.
Advice to owner:
get serious about pest control and extermination

You get what you pay for
Former Tenant
Pros:
Super is kind and responsive. Some long time friendly residents with rent stabilized apartments. Pet friendly- lots of pet owners. Good sized apartments. Friendly neighbors. Laundry card operated with machine to add $. Accepts $10 bills only. Rarely had issues waiting for an available machine. Closet space. Buzz visitors in from apartment.
Cons:
Roaches in apartments and public common areas. Lobby is muggy and gross during summer. Management is not responsive and could care less about tenants. Lot of pets sometimes gross owners don't clean after their pets. Elevator is slow and barely works. The entire street has a high rate of rodents - spot them during the day. Packages frequently stolen.
Advice to owner:
Clean and repair the basement, outside of the building, and other common areas. Seriously address pest control matters. Install security camera.

Responsive super !
Former Tenant
Pros:
Super is very friendly and responsive. Lots of space for the rent I paid. Owner allowed me to end my lease on the original date even when I had indicated I would renew (we had to give 3 mos notice)
Cons:
Had to install my own front door secure lock upon move in. There was a also a fairly significant surcharge when paying rent online.
