very bad landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
Writing this to meet word requirement. Otherwise None.
Cons:
when I moved in apartment was thoroughly dirty. Everything was covered in dust/grime. I spent about 10 hours cleaning the place before we could move anything in. The fridge had roaches in it and lots of spills. Bathroom had not been cleaned at all. In the winter we were without hot water or heat for at least 4 different days. Landlord called to intimidate us to allow other people to enter our apartment during our lease terms or they wouldn’t give us back the security deposit(meanwhile the place is in better condition than we got it, and tenants aren’t required to respond to landlords about renewal of lease, as per NY law). The phone number listed on the lease doesn’t work. The online portal to report problems doesn’t receive any response. Currently there has been drywall spilled all over my floor to repair the next door neighbors apartment.
