The infestation is gross
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is key
Cons:
The building doesn’t do extermination, doesn’t care about tenant complaints. Asbestos is growing in the hallway and has been raised to owners and super for nine months. They have done nothing.
Advice to owner:
Care about tenants

Old, dirty building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location, close to Carl Shurz park & 2nd Ave subway, etc. Really nice neighbors. Quiet building. Large apartment for the price
Cons:
Extremely poorly maintained building. Nothing gets fixed unless you threaten to report to the city, and even then it’s the cheapest fix they can manage to get away with. Huge mouse and roach problem. No regular pest control at all. I think a lot of us in the building gave up and got cats. Common spaces are filthy and rarely get cleaned. Super is rude, unhelpful, and half-*sses everything. Worst apartment I’ve rented in 20 years here.
Advice to owner:
Stop being so cheap. Provide decent, timely fixes for maintenance issues.
