Pros:
Has property management company so everything is taken care of within 24 hours. Trash guy is always cleaning the area. Overall quiet building and nice neighbors. Right by the park. Pet friendly.
Cons:
No elevator or W/D
Can hear everyone coming up/down stairs in apartment.

Pros:
The super was amazing- on the ball, quick to answer and fix the many issues that arise.

Cons:
The heat is unbelievably LOUD. Not like normal ny apts- it bangs and clangs all night, shakes the walls- it was impossible to sleep. Mgmt company is very slow to answer. The building feels like it’s gonna fall down- they try to bandaid the issues but don’t actually maintain the property. They tried to raise our rent $100 in the first few months of the pandemic. Also there is a non refundable pet fee AND pet rent.
Advice to owner:
Remember that your tenants are humans.

The area is great
Cons:
Everything! The management company is abysmal, we ended up making a deal that we wouldn’t call the city on them if they broke our lease early. My shower used to go from 50 to 168 degrees every 3.5 seconds (yes this was documented by thermometer), which they gaslit me about for 6 months, no heat, mail theft, toilet never worked, they never fixed anything right the first time.
Advice to owner:
Do your job.
