Great First Apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Love my unit! Never had bugs or mice, and it was easy to clean. The landlord came whenever we needed him! It was always warm in the winter, and the neighbors were lovely.
Cons:
The stairs up to the apartments are very gross! I wish they had been cleaned more often. We never had pests, but once saw a dead mouse on a landing. It was taken care of within a few hours, but still!
Advice to owner:
Please clean the stairway more often!

A lucky find for a first apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Overall pretty clean. Good location. Easy to get anything fixed.
Cons:
Floors really creaky. Packages were stolen a few times.
Advice to owner:
I think a better security system would be good for the package issue.

Good location but noisy
Former Tenant
Pros:
The location is great, right next to Central Park & only 2 blocks from 4/5/6 trains. Nice neighborhood, a couple of coffeeshops & restaurants around, easy transportation, CVS a block or two away.
Cons:
Very noisy since it’s on the Central Park transverse street + Mount Sinai is on the next block.
Advice to owner:
Exterminators should come either more often or the building needs to figure out how to get rid of roaches & mice overall.

Aweful building and owner
Former Tenant
Pros:
The super was very nice
Cons:
Owner is a known slumlord, head was irregular swinging between none and hot as hell and we had to open the windows. Closet bedrooms facing brick walls with shit appliances.
Advice to owner:

Great super, good building for the price
Former Tenant
Pros:
Very responsive super No MAJOR issues Normal neighbors
Cons:
I’ve had a few issues with cockroaches over the 5 years I’ve lived here, and maybe 2 or 3 mouse sightings - but the exterminator is great and management relatively quick to help address issues.
Advice to owner:
Allow people who make 40X the rent to lease the apartment without a guarantor or rhino - everyone else does.
