Less than super Super
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is great, apartments are a decent size. Having laundry in unit is a HUGE plus and the kitchen island was a nice feature as well
Cons:
The halls and stairwells are filthy. Someone left a half eaten candy bar on the sill in the stairwell in February 2020 and it was over nine months before it was cleaned up. The super is useless- can't fix anything, doesn't pick up his phone, can't remember appts or arrangements if you need to schedule something. Had some significant issues with him over the years we loved there.
Advice to owner:
We were promised the lobby would be cleaned and renovated shortly after we moved in and it's still gross. Get a new super who does more than sit on the stoop all day and smoke

Decent Apartment If You Can Tolerate Noise and Smoke Smells
Former Tenant
Pros:
Somewhat modern renovations, dishwasher, in-unit washer and dryer, and decent sized 1.5 bedroom. Not terribly far from grocery stores and convenient stores. Very close to the park but there are cons
Cons:
The apartment is located on the thruway between from east to west of Central Park and it's close to Mt. Sinai hospital so there's a lot of car traffic honking in the mornings and afternoon rush hour and sirens throughout the day. Broker claimed there are double paned windows but they definitely don't block out sounds. Also, the recent renovations probably didn't do the windows as you can definitely feel the cold air come in during the winters. There's also a constant smell of cigarette smoke coming from the wall trims. There were a few times the boiler went down for a day or two in a year. Floor/ceiling seems to be thin. Definitely can hear people upstairs and "shaking" the bed
Advice to owner:
Super is responsive to problems. Trash and recycling area can be cleaned up better between pickup days
