Great rental building with wonderful staff
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building staff are the best I've ever experienced in an NYC apartment building, quick repairs, close to the park, high quality amenities, no weird hidden fees
Cons:
Larger outdoor space with grills would be nice My neighbors smoke somewhat frequently even though it's non-smoking building. Management hasn't really done anything about (that we know) of as it keeps happening

Great Rental building on the park
Former Tenant
Pros:
Unparalleled views from units soaring above the buildings on 5th Avenue. Southern, western exposures viewing sunsets over Central Park. Northern views of east river and upper Central Park. Laundry in the larger units, nice kitchen island, doorman staff very friendly and like family, dog friendly, lots of dog owners walking dogs to park and generally nice people.
Cons:
Had a neighbor that made weird noises could hear through wall but was tolerable as only heard near the alcove. But neighbor smoked occasionally and could smell faintly through the walls. Management can only do so much and not much recourse. Prices have gone up for market rents, location on park is great but a little north of UES restaurants making it a longer walk. Honestly, if not for wanting to save more money and add void price hike, great building.
Advice to owner:
Drop the hammer on smokers

1214 5th Avenue
Former Tenant
Pros:
I love how the people downstairs greet each and everyone and is very attentive to each resident. They’re very helpful and sweet they’re always there to make sure everything runs smoothly. Yes
Cons:
The management company could do more for its residents. Have a more everyone is equal kind of experience but at times I don’t feel like my kitchen appliances are as good or at least half of the quality as other residents in this building.
Advice to owner:
Encourage equality not just in accepting people in the affordable housing program but also providing them with the same appliances as the rest of the building.
