Failed to provide rent increase
Former Tenant
Pros:
Lived here for three years and for the first two had easy time contacting management. After they switched in the past year, experience has not been as positive.
Cons:
Consistent issues with front door being broken/completely unlocked so anyone could gain access.
It takes management days to respond, leasing even longer.
Leasing did not provide us with our rent increase notice, claim they did, but there is nothing you can do it about it under the tenant protections of NYC unless you plan to stay in the apartment. They broke this protection, did not give us 90 days notice.
No mice but have had roaches/cockroaches. The exterminator comes once a month so if you have any issue, you have to be home on a random weekday to deal with it during business hours, which is not always possible.

Do NOT rent an apartment in this building through June Homes!
Former Tenant
Pros:
The older tenants in the building were kind and friendly
Cons:
I've been locked out several times and unable to access the building using the wireless doorman system bc it was down. If renting an apartment through June Homes, please beware that it will be incredibly difficult to get in touch with the property manager or team members to help you with your issue! They'll take up to 5 business days to get back to you only to give you the runaround and play hot potato with your issues by passing it along through several different managers. Also, the unit I stayed in turned out to be infested with bugs and roaches!! BEWARE!!
Advice to owner:
Multiple units have housing and health code violations throughout the units. The building and units need to be better maintained!!

Horrible Building Management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Spacious Apartment with closet space. Some Nice neighbors
Cons:
Apartment had a lot of issues. The cabinets were cheap and would break, there was mold in the bathroom, holes in walls, sharp metal sticking out of door, stains on walls, handles coming off of closet doors. Garbage area inconveniently placed. Cameras in the building didn’t work and packages would get stolen (my air conditioner and other things got stolen and management was no help): the “virtual doorman” hasn’t worked in months. Management and the super are unreliable and will sometimes ignore emails, calls, and text. The. At the end of my lease they raised my rent 50% which they assured me wouldn’t happen during lease signing. Got emails and letters from con Ed saying the building has not been paying their building and threatened to turn off heat and lights in common areas of the building.

Bed bugs and poor management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to central park, the 2/3 and 6 trains
Cons:
Bed bugs infestation, poor management company
Advice to owner:
Listen and fix apartment issues your tenants have immediately, invest in the building upkeep, and tell your tenants when others have bugs. Your tenants should come first and you dhould have compassion about there well being.
