Simple & affordable
Former Tenant
Pros:
This building is well maintained, the management company is pretty responsive, they have pest control come once a month and spray apartments, decently maintained walk up with really nice crown molding and new appliances. When our freezer broke they sent a new fridge, when our stove broke they sent a new one. They are pretty quick and most people are great to deal with.
Cons:
NOISE, you hear ambulances all the time, traffic, honking, walls are very thin so if your neighbor sneezes you can say bless you. I have only in the 3 years living here seen 3 dead roaches. I genuinely liked living in this building and they didn't increase our rent at all this last year and the previous year was a $40 increase. Something I almost forgot, your packages are VERY likely to get stolen, within 20 minutes of delivery. I half suspected it was an employee tbh.
Advice to owner:
The common areas can be spruced, and they can do for an update with the entry way. You can't understand the people asking for entry and we had SEVERE package theft.

Reaonsably priced, could use better maintenance
Former Tenant
Pros:
Management is overall responsive and building is very reasonably priced
Cons:
Super is pretty terrible and unresponsive, package theft with no action by management, stairs and common areas are dirty.
Advice to owner:
A more organized super would be very appreciated.

It’s good for New York
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location by the park and train
Cons:
Hard to get in contact with management. It’s very DIY. Very loud everywhere and packages constantly get stolen

Pros:
Great space for the price, great neighborhood
Cons:
Did have some coackroaches, but the exterminator was always able to come extra time and spray the place which usually helped

Small, loud, poorly managed and maintained
Former Tenant
Pros:
Decent location and rooftop. Got security deposit back.
Cons:
Tiny rooms. Apartment gets HOT in the summer even with a window unit. No natural lighting in living room. Black mold and ceiling damage that landlord refused to repair. Packages consistently stolen or not delivered. Aggressive homeless in surrounding streets. Super loud- literally could not sleep for weeks due to nonstop delivery trucks, rush hour traffic car horns, constant ambulances and garbage trucks at all hours of the night.
Advice to owner:
Maintain your apartments and respond to tenant complaints. Get a camera in the lobby.
