The Best - We regret moving out
Former Tenant
Pros:
The owners clearly didn’t cut any corners with renovating this building. It was super clean, and we maybe saw 3 bugs in the 2 years we lived there. The only reason we saw a few was because we lived in one of the penthouse units, and so a few must of accidentally made their way over. We had no mice, and our neighbors were super chill. Also, the super, Jose, is awesome and very responsive. We had no issues getting our security deposit back promptly. We really didn’t have any issues, which I feel like is unheard of in NYC. We’re in a bad situation now, so we really miss our old apartment at 318 117th #PHA.
The windows/sunlight were amazing because the building is south facing. We would occasionally hear a saxophonist neighbor, which was super nice. All in all, living here was an amazing experience.
Cons:
Our electricity bill was a little high a few months, but I think that’s because there was a problem with the washer/dryer that we forgot to bring up with the super.
Advice to owner:
Maybe try to install a door to the upstairs bedrooms in the PH units so the sound doesn’t carry as much? Other than that, you’re the best - keep it up!
