Pesky Pest problem
Former Tenant
Pros:
The management had timely communication.
Cons:
The building is invested with roaches. Management does a monthly maintenance however, this barely helps the issue.

10 Years Down Hill
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location near mta busses, security CCTV, location near shopping
Cons:
No elevator. Walkup. Pest issue for nearly 8 years (small roaches and mice). Neighbors leaving items under stairwell. Pest crawl throw sliding doors in apartment. Heavy marijuana and cigarette smoking throughout entire building. Due to sliding door and hollow walls the smoke and smell would travel easily. Management did not care about air quality. We were told no pets in building when we moved in and then around 5 years later there was a dog on every floor. Rarely saw pest control. (Super would knock lightly on door). Stairwell and main entrance used to be cleaned regularly. Now the stairs are filthy. The super used to be attentive and easy to contact.. now they appear to be overworked and hard to reach. No notification of neighboring construction. A power drill went into the bedroom and almost hit my head by a few inches. My tolerance wore thin when our drugged up high neighbors from below were calling 311 with false claims of noise and banging. They even called when we weren't even home. Not once did the police come to our apartment and speak with us. Instead the police informed management over the excessive false 311 phone calls. What did the management do when the lease was coming up to renew? They held the lease hostage over the false accusations. When ending the lease and decided to not renew they handled the security deposit unprofessionally and waited until the last day of the 14th to inform how much would be deducted. They also deducted things due to their own construction damage. Damage due to apartment next door construction refurbishment. They charged for a socket that was pushed out from the construction workers in 2017. I had asked many times to have it fixed and they never did.
Advice to owner:
Vermin/pest are a big issue in this building. The smoking and drug use is heavy and unhealthy.

Plumbing is terrible.

Do Not Rent
Former Tenant
Pros:
I like where the building is located.
Cons:
These apartments look like they have not been renovated in months. The management team is a family of con artist’s. The apartments are extremely small and not worth the rent at all. The apartments do not have central air, so there are really old and outdated heaters in every room of the apartment that can be extremely dangerous if you have children. The heat is apparently all connected in on building so if one tenant calls and asks for the heat to be lowered, the heat in EVERY apartment would be lowered. . Not good if you have children. One winter we were extremely cold and Crystal from M.T realty gave a careless response, making sure to cover herself. As a new tenant you are greeted and told that the management company is “family oriented”, until the moment you realized they are not. There is supposedly two Supers that live on site, one appears to be a drunk.. & it is very hard to reach either of them. Also the apartment has many outlets but not all of them work. I have seed roaches and a mouse already & they’re exterminator services that they offer once a month is mediocre. Do not rent from here unless it is your LAST choice.
Advice to owner:
Humble yourselves and stop taking advantage of a low income community. Renovate and remodel the apartments as well as the stair case railings.
