Building itself does the job, nightmare management
Former Tenant
Pros:
-Living one block above Central Park is nice, having access to green space is always a plus. -Oversized, pre-war features i.e. large windows, walk-in pantry, and high ceilings - Equidistant to multiple subway lines, close to multiple bus stops, very convenient for commuting - Close to a grocery store, laundromat, multiple cafes and restaurants
Cons:
- Up until 2024 management was a nightmare to work with. Very unresponsive unless they were asking for money. They have been more responsive recently but it's still hit or miss if we can get maintenance issues resolved sooner than a month. - The entire block has had significant rodent issues, it took a full year of back and forth with management and multiple exterminator visits to finally get to the bottom of rodent issues in our unit so we wouldn't have mice in our apartment. - Consistent hot water is also an issue - The super is sketchy in that he has threatened to come into our apartment while we are not home and told us to leave the city if we don't like the building. - Our block is a hot spot for drug usage, people who are under the influence on some level frequently sit on the stoop, go through trash, and have even gotten in the building and squatted in the stairwell. Have had to call the police on a few occasions because the people in question were actively threatening us.
Advice to owner:
It wouldn't take much to clean up the stairwell, provide additional security to the from entryway, and in general contribute to the building feeling cleaner and safer.

Great Location but that's about it..
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location, space, size of bedrooms, central AC, updated appliances
Cons:
Rats. In multiple units. Front door constantly broken, which led to unwanted visitors. Management unresponsive re these issues. No in-unit washer and dryer.
Advice to owner:
Get your act together

you don’t wan to live here! (believe me)
Former Tenant
Pros:
nothing, it’s terrible
Cons:
this building is a nightmare. it’s infested with roaches and mice and management is deeply negligent our apartment would smell like death for weeks at a time because there were dead rodents decomposing inside the walls and we never got anyone to fix the issue washing machine breaks every couple of weeks and it took them at least a month to send a technician each time the block is very sketch. very often you will find people on drugs sleeping on the stoop.
