Lovely neighbors & neighborhood, shitty management, PEST PROBLEMS
Former Tenant
Pros:
The location is excellent and lovely, the neighbors are all so great, many of them have lived in the building for 10+ years and are very community oriented. The apartments themselves are good.
Cons:
MAJOR pest problems, mice/rats/bugs. Management is rude and difficult and doesn’t give a shit about your time or health or quality of life. For example, not allowing weekend OR evening move-ins/outs with literally zero exceptions or flexibility.
Advice to owner:
Care about your tenants quality of life! And either charge less or fix more!!

Love my apt and neighbors, don't love management
Former Tenant
Pros:
- Super is responsive and just overall a nice guy - Neighbors are great and help each other out–this building has a lot of rent stabilized tenants who care about making it a pleasant place to live - Close to the park!
Cons:
- Management always trying to raise the rent by insane amounts (from 3200 to 4500 for a 2bd 1 bath without laundry in unit) – they are trying to rebrand it as "Columbia Park" as if it is a luxury building for students, which it is not - At least one washer or dryer in basement seems to be broken at any given time and management refuses to just get new machines
Advice to owner:
replace the washers and dryers in basement and charge reasonable rents for market apts!

Okay Building
Former Tenant
Pros:
- Pet Friendly - Live-in Super - My unit was renovated and had washer/dryer - Close to the train - Nice sized bedrooms
Cons:
- Pests in the basement - Noisy street - Some neighbors were really rude - The kitchen and living room were on the smaller side and were very dark - Management was rude and we often went back and forth with them.

Great Park Location
Former Tenant
Pros:
This is a small building and the neighbors are all very friendly.
Cons:
The owners don’t care enough to hire enough people to support the super. Because of that reason the super doesn’t ever catch a break and sometimes gets very frustrated when there are lots of maintenance requests
Advice to owner:
Stop being so cheap and take better care to get the super enough help instead of stretching him so thin!

Former Tenant
Pros:
It’s near two parks and the c train
Cons:
Old building with thin walls and floors. Tenants fight over Noise
Advice to owner:
Sound proofing is needed
