Fix things promptly
Former Tenant
Pros:
Convenient location, doormen some of the time.
Cons:
Super doesn’t fix things unless you remind him multiple times, doormen disappear a lot.

Cons:
Peste, super, elevator

Great amenities but shit landlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
Doorman, who was very helpful and would fix any issue in the apartment for free and replace any utilities
Cons:
The landlord is terrible. He tried to scam us multiple times throughout the year for installing A/C units and cleaning the apartments. Basically anything that the landlord tries to charge you for, make sure to check the lease because he is usually trying to pocket for himself
Advice to owner:
Check through your lease and don't get scammed

Overall okay place
Former Tenant
Pros:
-friendly doormen
-trash is only 10 steps from your apartment door
-there are two elevators
-doormen open the door for you
-fairly big apartments, four on each floor for the most part
Cons:
-doormen tend to leave due to working conditions
-superintendent is intimidating with tenants
-close by a hospital so expect to hear sirens a lot.
-trash is only 10 steps from your apartment door and not in a separate room
-major repairs often have to affect more than one resident in order to be done

The good the bad and the ugly.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Fire proof building doorman
Cons:
They take to long to mak repairs. Super is the worst. Bullies older tenants. No access to the roof.
Advice to owner:
Get a new super.

Worst management office ever
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building itself is great, I had in-unit laundry and lots of great light in the living spaces. The location was my favorite part, that neighborhood is awesome.
Cons:
It is impossible to reach RCR Management about ANYTHING. While I was living there, no one ever responded to my online submissions for maintenance; we only got things fixed if we could catch the Super in the lobby (rare) and ask him ourselves. Once he even charged us $50 to put an AC unit in one of the windows, and he put it in wrong. But the worst part was after we moved out: The day our lease ended, our access to the tenant portal was restricted so I couldn’t log in to stop my automatic monthly rent payment, and when I called the office they said I should have done it earlier (even though no one told us we would be locked out of the portal on the 31st). They then proceeded to keep my money for FOUR WHOLE WEEKS (yep you read that right) to “make sure it wouldn’t bounce” (for four weeks? sure…) The woman was insanely rude to me every time I called and spoke to me like a child, as if I was being insane for asking for my money back. For whatever reason, they claimed that even though I sent my money to them online, it would be impossible for them to do the same for me and I would have to pick up the check in person or wait for it in the mail. Incredibly unprofessional, do not rent with RCR Management.
Advice to owner:
Put your email address on the website or at least check your tenant’s in-portal messages. Maybe hire some staff who’s actually professional when dealing with tenants. And don’t steal an month’s worth of rent and then make it your tenants’ problem.
