Expensive but convenient, clean and well-run

Pros:
I rented this place through Student Housing Works. There are a lot of perks - Easy process for international students, no guarantor or security deposit required. - Fully furnished. You can customise what you want in the room. - Effective heat and AC - Responsible, friendly and responsive staff on the ground. - Corridors and common areas seem to be cleaned almost daily - 24/7 doorman so packages never get stolen. You can even leave return packages with the front desk to be picked up by FedEx/etc. - Free printing and printing paper in basement - Elevator in building - Washer/dryer in basement. However there are only 2 of each for about 80 (I think) residents - Near a supermarket, food options, and the 1 line on 103rd street - Most of the street is residential so you don't get noise from restaurants at night. - No recurring pest problem.
Cons:
This place has extremely steep rent for small spaces. A "deluxe" room can be as small as 140sqft. The kitchen unit is basically the "Avanti Complete Kitchen" which is extremely tiny. I did not live here long so it was tolerable but please tour the place to see if you are okay with this. The corridors smell a bit sour although it doesn't affect your own room. AC/Heating humming can be a bit loud at times. (I did get a cockroach once but only because I was not careful with leaving food out.)
