depressing place to live
Former Tenant
Pros:
natural light on the higher floors, close to train
Cons:
roach infestations, disgusting and frequently broken elevator (fire dept had to get me out once), super gets away with being rude and lazy, no upgraded appliances, splintering wood floors, had no hot water for 10 days, dirty hallways
Advice to owner:
gut renovate the building

Terrible experience, avoid at all costs
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is good, not far from 1 train
Cons:
Completely useless super Roaches all over the place Terrible smell in hallways bc nothing was ever cleaned Homeless people wandering in and out and squatting in empty apartments Impossible to contact landlord, had to wait over 3 months for my security deposit and ended up contacting real estate agent so he could get hold of the landlord.
Advice to owner:
Hire a management company, a new super, and invest in some serious extermination services

Affordable for a reason
Former Tenant
Pros:
It was one of the cheapest places to rent in the area. Also, the approval process was the fastest I’ve ever experienced in the city.
Cons:
This place was always INFESTED with cockroaches everywhere. I spoke to neighbors on every floor and they all had constant issues with pests. There were also several rats in the walls, which you could hear throughout the day and night.

It was alright
Former Tenant
Pros:
Neighborhood is great!
Cons:
The building was dirty and the super was extremely lazy. Any time I needed something fixed he was super rude and unhelpful. Also they raised my rent nearly $1000 at the end of my lease.
Advice to owner:
Get a new super

Nice neighborhood, old building
Former Tenant
Pros:
I absolutely love the neighborhood and the building itself is clean and gets the job done.
Cons:
Super is terrible, tries to extort money out of me any time I ask him to fix something. Plumbing in the building sucks; toilets are slow draining, leaky, etc.

Very poor service
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good location
Cons:
Very poor service. Roaches all over the building, not possible to get rid of, bad bugs, homeless people use empty apartment as their private bathroom. Landlord/ manager stoped to show up 6 months ago because of Covid situation, has no cell phone number, so you should call super who literally curse you and hanging up phones.
Advice to owner:
To change management ASAP and do building renovation

Dirty and not taken care of
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice apartment and good location, has potential
Cons:
Horrible superintendent, dirty/smelly foyer, no effort put in to maintain building. Front doors were totally unlocked for months and nothing was done to fix it.
Advice to owner:
Get a new super, and put some money into fixing things
