Cheaply Renovated Building
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building appeared nice and newly renovated, there was a super and repairmen who regularly worked on the building.
Cons:
The building was owned and operated by a large corporation that didn’t care about tenants. They were forcing out long time tenants and cheaply renovating units to charge an insane amount. The cheap renovations led to pests, broken appliances, and astronomical electric bills. None of these issues were handled appropriately.

overall disgusting building
Former Tenant
Pros:
the unit layout was nice
Cons:
building management would not make necessary repairs for FOUR MONTHS. constant emails were met with silence. they had to “fix” it twice because the first time they made the repair, they basically put two pieces of plywood over the water damage. negligent and dangerous. also building stairwell was disgusting. trash and dust everywhere. building maintained horribly. we had bedbugs in our unit June 2020.
Advice to owner:
complete necessary repairs in an efficient manner.

Not worth the price!
Former Tenant
Pros:
Updated appliances, in-unit laundry and lots of natural sunlight
Cons:
Roaches everywhere! Noisy street and loud neighbors, I didn’t get one restful nights sleep here. And Trash always overflowing in front of the building. And the building is dirty, dingy and gross. Overpriced for what it was.
Advice to owner:
Take better care of your property. This building needs a gut renovation, it’s disgusting. Also need to get rid of the roaches.

Not Worth It
Former Tenant
Pros:
In-unit laundry & new appliances. The front room has lots of natural sunlight. And my apartment came with a small tv already installed.
Cons:
Roaches are all throughout the building. The building is cruddy and old and is in serious need of renovation. Our upstairs neighbors were loud and obnoxious, stopping across the ceiling all throughout the night. And apparently they would never close the shower and would let water pool al across the floor, which began leaking into our apartment. The apartment also does not have a good heating system, it’s freezing in the winter and you con-Ed still costed hundreds of dollars a month. Also, the outside street is extremely lively and noisy from all of the restarting and bars on the corner. Not a great apartment for sleeping at night. Neither the “owner,” which is an unknown entity, or supers/building managers are very responsive or helpful. In fact, Alexis, the head super was very aggressive and rude when we expressed issues with our apartment. The apartment looks nice but was cheaply made and thrown together, the light fixtures were not installed well and would often loosen up and be left hanging from the ceiling by wires.
Advice to owner:
Renovate this building. It’s disgusting! Get rid of the roaches. And respond to noise complaints more efficiently and effectively. I didn’t sleep for months while living in this apartment, which is why I ultimately moved.
