It is ok
Former Tenant
Pros:
The super and mantainence people are nice.
Great neighborhood
Cons:
If you're in the first floor you may see roaches sometimes.
The same with the heat. Is too hot during the winter.
Can be noise in the night
Advice to owner:
The heat is too much

I liked it
Former Tenant
Pros:
Clean, good water pressure, quiet
Cons:
Could use more washing machines and dryers
Over 2 years ago
Good enough. But tenants at risk.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Quiet building. Super close to Columbia.
Cons:
Didn’t put up notices when work was being done on pipes. I ended accidentally drinking contaminated water got really sick. I have sinus problems to this day (4 years later). I noticed Housing Columbia when it happened, and they said “oh yeah, someone else called about the brown water too today. Yeah, we were doing some work earlier.” Ummmmm????
Advice to owner:
Take the health of your tenants seriously. Use notices to let tenants know when work is being done.

Good, but...
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good location and relatively low rent fee (subsidized)
Cons:
(1) Had leaks behind the wall, which affected the integrity and appearance of the wall. (2) Washer and dryer are at the basement, near smelly garbage. (3) noisy garbage disposal trucks late at night and early in the morning for the Amsterdam Nursing house around the corner. (4) cockroaches seen several times.
Advice to owner:
Better pest control and better preparation for move-ins in terms of the condition of the apartment

Can’t complain about it
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice and quiet neighborhood
Cons:
No live-in super, takes a while for him to respond to any maintenance requests
