Don't move in
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice views from the high-floor apartments facing south, but it seriously isn't worth it. Even if I had received a 50% discount on rent throughout the lease, I wouldn't have rent here again.
Cons:
1. No hot water for months. 2. AC/HVAC is the loudest I have ever heard. 3. They violate New York State law, by entering your apartment without prior notice to make non-urgent construction work. They didn't disclose these projects before moving in, and affected our lives severely for 4.5 months of ongoing construction work in the apartment (they took off walls in each of the rooms while we weren't at home, discovered it after returning from a vacation). Give your self a favor - just don't move in. So many issues with this building, it was built cheaply, and you understand that after you move in (the AC for example, aren't sealed properly, allowing hot/cold air to enter the apartment). 5. Super noise, even on the high floors. 6. Management is the worst I have met, with minimal care, violating laws, and deceiving. They tell you that they take care of something - but nothing happens (for over 6 months not having hot water for example, or the fact they lost my security deposit, but luckily after multiple emails the property manager managed to find it and notice the mgmt. company). 7. Streets around the building are super dirty, filled with trash everywhere - really unpleasant place to live or come by after a long day of work.
