Rent at your own risk
Pros
The building is ‘new’ and gut renovated. The room has a balcony and in unit laundry which is a steal in the city. Also on a quiet block so you hear birds chirping in the morning.
Cons
I didn’t have hear for four months in the middle of winter. My emails and calls were not taken seriously until I began to pursue legal action. At that point I was paying $400+ a month in bills for the space heater they gave me. Unresponsive to repairs. No amenities for the price.
First time tenant
Pros
I am the first person to live in my unit so everything was new. I also like my neighbors, have not had any issues from that perspective, however most of us are moving. The super helps out and is responsive for the most issues.
Cons
Had issues with hot water, central heating/ac unit as soon as I moved in. I had to call 311 to get the hot water fixed and it took months for the A/C to get fixed and I have still had issues since bc the wiring was done incorrectly. Other tenants have had these issues with this as well. The mailboxes are not utilized by the mailman so mail is left out and I and other tenants have had many packages stolen. Setting up internet is also a hassle, I had to put in a special request to get it setup as it was not internet ready. They definitely cut corners.
