Great Harlem home
Former Tenant
Pros:
Lovely people, lot's of veteran tenants who are friendly and considerate and look out for one another
Cons:
Kids tend to loiter and smoke in the hallway, it's harmless but annoying

F*ck BPC Management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Has an elevator (been stuck in it many times though). Super usually does something if you bring it to his attention (and remind him).
Cons:
Everything else. Unreliable heat, filed several 311 reports during the coldest parts of winter (I just caved and bought a space heater cuz I was sick of fighting); the building floors are occasionally mopped but the property is largely neglected and dirty (especially the windows between staircases); not a good building to live in if you have asthma (people hang out in the lobby a lot and smoke in the entrance); had an appliance not working in our unit and it took 8 months to replace; don’t ask the super to send anyone to install your AC, they don’t know how to do it; management company wholly unresponsive, and also when they took over from the last one, their paperwork was messed up so they tried to charge us for an extra month’s rent until we cleared that up; no way to pay online, and they’re inconsistent with sending the rent statement.
Advice to owner:
Repent
