MICE AND ROACHES HERE!!!
Former Tenant
Pros:
The unit I’m currently in is massive compared to most NYC apartments. I live in a 4 bedroom 2 bath and I like we have an electric stove.
Cons:
- Roaches daily ( I kill at least 3 a day and it’s disgusting) - Had a mouse problem for months and had to take measures into our own hands - Water constantly gets turned off, sometimes without warning -The walls are so thin you can hear everyone
Advice to owner:
Exterminator needs to come at least twice a month with a building this old

Do not live here!
Former Tenant
Pros:
The day I moved out was a great day.
Cons:
Almost everything. The landlord owns 2 pitbulls that bark non stop day and night, they are not cared for and remain in the center courtyard area year-round. Mice, roaches, and other critters are found daily.
Advice to owner:
Sell the building to someone who will take better care of it.

Good location, terrible owners
Former Tenant
Pros:
Everyone in the neighborhood is very polite and the best part is how close and convenient everything is. You're 500 ft away from the red line, laundromat across the street, there's multiple delis and grocery stores and my favorite Dunkin'! The location is my favorite part about this building.
Cons:
Unfortunately, the owners of the building are terrible. You have to go to a building in Midtown (One Penn Plaza) only Mon-Fri, 9-5 PM to pay your rent. This schedule can become hard with someone who has a busy schedule like me. Sometimes, they like to take an early day and even once you're there to pay the rent, if they're not there, they won't accept it. There's no other way to do it which can become very frustrating. The super also NEVER answers the phone. We've had a broken toilet for half of our lease even though we've sent multiple emails and calls to fix the toilet. There's also rats and roaches and even though it is NYC, it's still not nice to be living under these conditions.
Advice to owner:
Please find another way to pay the rent and get a better Super.

Nice building, annoying management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Apartments are spacious, neighbors are friendly, and the neighborhood is beautiful. The building has an exterminator come in once a month to check apartments but that hasn’t stopped anything.
Cons:
The super barely, if ever, responds. You must continue to pester him for simple home improvements. Property management is a large firm that doesn’t have time for you as a tenant. Mixes you up with others constantly.
Advice to owner:
Talk to your tenants

Meh
Former Tenant
Pros:
It's a great area/location. The train station is right there, there are multiple deli's and grocery stores, and a laundromat right across the street.
Cons:
Pests (such as roaches and mice), and the management is a complete shit show. They do not respond in a timely manner, and they don't ever actually solve the issues given to them. Plus, they are extremely unorganized.

Not your ideal place
Former Tenant
Pros:
Spacious for your average New York City apartment
Cons:
ROACHES all the time. And to make matters worst they come in all sizes Hot water turns off occasionally without notice Poor ventilation in unit . Temperature outside is the same as temperature inside Unresponsive to maintenance requests Package theft is high Old aesthetic, no modern renovations
Advice to owner:
Get rid of roaches and stop turning off the water without notice and please do some renovations
