Great apartment, poor communication from management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Amazing location, close to Columbia, bars, restaurants, the park, the subway. Lots of natural sunlight.
Cons:
Really hard to contact management with problems and for the return of the security deposit.

Unresponsive management, so many 311 violations
Former Tenant
Pros:
The neighbors who have been here for decades are very kind, and many have said this building went into disrepair when Skyward took over management. The other tenants are the only real upside and that has nothing to do with the owner/management.
Cons:
Management is incredibly difficult to get in touch with, ignored complaints of active water leaks in the bathroom walls for 6 months. 311 inspectors have come multiple times and always cite 15+ violations in the common spaces and apartment. Only repairs are painting over dirty, water stained walls or plastering over pipe leak damages, never addressed the source of the leak.

Pros:

Cons:
Health hazard. Loose floor boards, bad kitchen, roaches very common.
Advice to owner:
Renovate and stop taking advantage of students

Cons:
ROACHES OF ALL SIZES
Rodents
majority of building is rent stabilized so nothing gets fixed and thats evident when you enter the building
persistent mold issue in bathroom
walls leak during rain storms and damage furniture, however landlord instructs you to take out a renters insurance claim
previous super was too busy running guns out of his apartment to fix anything
landlord cannot afford to maintain building
Advice to owner:
sell the building
