Quite good experience
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is clean and the superintendent is responsive. I never had a problem with bugs or pests in my unit.
Cons:
We had a radiator that just didn't work, spotted rats in garbage/laundry area a few times

Great location for train and universities
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is good, super is onsite and fairly responsive, never had package problems, neighbors in building (especially those who have been around many years) are super nice and friendly. Elevator building and it typically works
Cons:
There’s a decent amount of construction in the area which probably contributed to our cockroach problem in 2021/2022. Landlord makes substantial increases in rent each year.
Advice to owner:
Don’t raise rent so high in one year

Great location just needs some updating
Former Tenant
Pros:
Across the street for a beautiful park, 1 block from the 1 train, short walk to restaurants and Columbia. Great neighborhood and quiet building
Cons:
The building is not mopped or swept every week or every month either just once in a while, neither is the laundry room which is very small & sometimes looks a mess. The garbage area is a mess too!
The building owner needs to do a better job supervising the super to ensure the garbage area is neat and the building is mopped and swept at least once a week.
The heat is not on frequently throughout the day so the apt tends to feel cold.
UPS & FedEx rarely take your packages to your door. They often leave it at the front door or pilled up in the mail area.
Advice to owner:
Supervise the super to make sure he is doing his job to mop, sweep, keep garbage area clean Keep the heat pumping more frequently Get rid of the “bike area” that no one uses and get more washers and dryers Invest in a key fob instead of keys for the building Invest in video camera intercoms. If the building is not on the cutting edge you are going to lose great high rent paying tenants Get an email address so if you have an issue we can email you instead of calling all the time and leaving a message
