Great community and apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is older, but most of the units have been renovated. The super is excellent and very helpful. Water pressure is great. Tenants are very friendly with a great sense of community. The apartments are spacious with high ceilings.
Cons:
There are a lot of rats outside the building and around the trash area. Some of the residents smoke in the building, and you can smell it in the halls. The elevator is broken sometimes. The package room has been broken into several times. The front door glass has been broken 3 times over the past year.
Advice to owner:
Fix the washing machines and dryers. Better security for building.

Neighbors are amazing! Best super in town!
Former Tenant
Pros:
The community is awesome Rent stabilized Super is a quick to respond Trash is the most kept in the area
Cons:
Pretty major rat issues Lights don’t always work Heating is hit or miss Security cameras don’t actually work Laundry is never working
Advice to owner:
Buy quality things that last longer then you won’t have to deal with all the complaints

Lovely community but building has many issues
Former Tenant
Pros:
Wonderful community of people in the building. Dog friendly. Safe. Clean building. Package room. Laundry in building.
Cons:
Packages stolen often. Rats in walls & mice in many apartments. Roaches, especially large water bugs. Once tenants have moved out or passed away who lived in original, low rent apartments, the management company is warehousing them (not fixing them & renting them out): As of Fall 2022 there are at least 6 such apartments. 5 washers but only 4 dryers in the building. Management takes a long time to fix issues in the building (unsafe stairs that 2 different people have falling down on, slamming front doors, front doors that are difficult to open, etc). There is an alleyway that is full of rats that is not being properly treated to get rid of them since 2020.
Advice to owner:
Take care of your building so your tenants are safe & rats don’t get in the building from the alleyway.

The Super is Awesome
Former Tenant
Pros:
Had a great relationship with the super and the neighbors. It’s like a family there.
Cons:
Really loud neighborhood, especially with the fireworks.
Advice to owner:
Work with the city more to camp down on noise and rats.
