Avoid living here
Former Tenant
Pros:
Large kitchen, good sunlight
Cons:
Water pouring from the ceiling, unresponsive and unhelpful management and super, hallways and staircase left very unclean, exterminator only visited once per year
Advice to owner:
Find a new profession

Good people on the whole but underserved by Mgmt company
Former Tenant
Pros:
Neighbors are friendly overall and look out for each other. Great location in an amazing neighborhood. Leo, the man who was the super for many years was kind and attentive.
Cons:
New supers have tough standard to live up to, filling Leo's shoes. The quality of life in the. building and general maintenance of the building since the pandemic began has gone down. It's down to the management not building bonds or listening to tenants' feedback.
Advice to owner:
Tend to building maintenance proactively, Offer a feedback option for tenants' and reconsider the rent increase rates you implement.

Great Neighborhood, Uncommunicative Management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Super quiet area, great roof access, really sweet and gentle super, virtually zero pests, relatively affordable rent
Cons:
Old building with sketchy plumbing, major mold problem that management doesn’t seem to care about, management is difficult to communicate with and does not follow up on calls/emails unless pressed, management avoids necessary maintenance work (like serious mold issue) unless legal action is threatened.
Advice to owner:
You’ve got a great building in a great neighborhood! Communicate better with your tenants and be more up-front about your decisions and protocols. If we felt like you were on our side and cared about our wellbeing we may want to stay in the building long term! At this point we feel we can’t trust you because you’re hard to reach and your policies are confusing.
