Fave apartment I’ve lived in
Pros
It’s updated and has sweet amenities. The super Peter is a great dude. Feels like home.
Cons
The stairs/lobby could be cleaned/swept a bit more often. The showers are also full of tiny tiles and hard to scrub. But the roof is clutch and I have never had an issue with noise from other apartments. Walls within the apartment are a little thin but not excessively so (music can be heard but not phone calls).
Small but Nice!
Pros
Gut renovated, beautiful new appliances, beautiful balconies, and amazing super! The building is also very clean and well maintained. I also loved that there was a spacious roof deck.
Cons
Expensive for such super small rooms. When the building was renovated, it was chopped up to make what used to be a one bedroom apartment on each floor into two different apartments (one being a two bedroom and the other being a three bedroom —imagine that!). We didn’t even have space for living room furniture. Walls are thin and ceilings are low ( I lived on the second floor) so if you’re a light sleeper, someone in the next room or walking upstairs can easily wake you up. Another con is that the roof deck didn’t have any furniture. You’d have to buy your own to share with the entire apartment building, which isn’t ideal.
Advice to the owners
I’d say lower the rent for such small apartments. It’s not right to be paying that much to live in a box. And put furniture on the roof deck.
