Affordable building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Rent stabilized apartments, with low key but pretty efficient management.
Cons:
No laundry in building. Communication with the management could be better as they don't always respond to claims or questions unless it is an urgent matter.
Advice to owner:
Having laundry in house would be very appealing for tenants. Management responsiveness to calls or questions from tenants should improve too.

Tenants blast music non-stop
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice neighborhood and close to great subways.
Cons:
Multiple maintenance issues have not been addressed for over a year- leaks, plumbing issues, etc. We literally have laundry detergent bubbling up into our kitchen sink on a constant basis (and the building has no laundry facilities). This is actually a double building (466 and 470 are owned by the same company). And the tenants in 470 blast music non-stop, often until 4 am, which echoes in the space between the buildings and makes life awful for anyone who has a window onto that space. It’s truly like living next to a dance club. Good luck trying to relax. Calls to landlord do nothing.
Advice to owner:
Pay more attention to what life is like for all tenants. Allowing one apartment to blast music and throw parties makes life miserable for everyone else.
