unresponsive building management
Former Tenant
Pros:
there are a lot of amenities included in rent, i.e. in unit laundry
the neighbors are wonderful! a lot of tenants in this building have lived here for decades, and there are lots of families.
Cons:
the property managers are impossible to get ahold of, maintenance requests take months to be resolved if they’re fixed at all
Advice to owner:
please actually address the maintenance issues and RESPOND when tenants contact you with serious issues

An Okay Building!
Former Tenant
Pros:
Families have lived in these apartments for a long time.
Centrally located.
Spacious rooms.
Well lit.
Decent security system.
Cons:
Garbage area is a mess and filled with pigeon excrement and rats. No clear recycling system.
Security code is weak, plus the call/buzzer system does not work. Security cameras are inoperable.
Packages get stolen frequently.
Heat is a luck of the draw. We were provided a tiny radiator for an enormous room. The radiator does not work.
Water damage and leaking roof has never been properly repaired.
Advice to owner:
Please create some kind of shelter for the garbage so that it is not exposed to the elements (including rats and pigeon excrement). Please create a clear and easy to follow recycling system. Please consider replacing the security system to one that is functional and that the tenants have control over.

No Heat All Winter / Constant Water Damage
Former Tenant
Pros:
Locations great price was fine but damn this management.
Cons:
Title says it all. I spent a whole winter without heat. While i was teaching remotely most of the year. If you think zoom school sucks try zoom teaching with numb hands under 3 blankets.
Advice to owner:
Stop being so damn cheap. Actually FIX your problems and hire competent professionals to do so you.
