Bare Minimum Landlord

Pros

Good people in the building. Good sized apartments.

Cons

Roaches. Trash situation outside is always crazy. Landlord isn’t responsive and fixes in apartments are not well done

Former tenant·8 months ago

Declining steadily for 10 years

Pros

Elevator and laundry in the basement, heat and hot water have been mostly consistent.

Cons

Neighbors are constantly breaking the front door entrance or leaving it open which allows vagrants to come in and camp out in the main stairwell, shooting up. Elevator breaks down or gets stuck at least once a month. Rats bigger than Yorkies hang out in the garbage area and sometimes surprise you in the laundry room. The super has become less and less responsive over the past few years to the point where I’ve given up on trying to get things fixed in my home. The price of the laundry machines has continued to go up without notice. Neighbors steal packages if they’re left in the lobby and the building management won’t do anything about it.

Advice to the owners

Fix the front door and try to press charges against anyone who breaks it.
