Unbelievably bad management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice natural light, decent-sized bedrooms and bathrooms
Cons:
Many, many issues with management throughout the 3 years we lived in this building. They were unresponsive and when we DID get ahold of them, uncooperative. We lived on the top floor and in our last year, had issues with leaky ceilings during rainfall. We notified management and it took them months to acknowledge these issues, finally telling us that they sent people to fix it on the roof. During this time, part of the ceiling on the top floor by the elevator fell off and stayed on the floor for a few weeks. Several months later (and 2 months before we already planned to move, as our lease was ending), a small hole in the ceiling opened up in one of the bedrooms, where the leak had supposedly already been fixed. We put in multiple maintenance requests, and eventually after receiving no word from anyone with the building, we gave up. It's their problem now. Additionally, the kids in the neighborhood hotbox the vestibule almost every day and people on the block will party at all hours during the summer - until 5 AM many mornings and set off fireworks. Not nice if you're trying to get a good night's sleep. We also had mice for the first two summers.

Don't Move Here
Former Tenant
Pros:
lots of light in the apartment
Cons:
poorly renovated, cockroaches the entire time we lived there, elevator was broken more than half the time we lived there, someone smoked in the hallway and my apartment smelled like cigarettes (I had to throw away my couch when I moved), people always partying in the hallways and the front vestibule, there was hot water maybe 50% of the time, it was always loud, and the landlord and super never fixed the issues

Horrible Management Company
Former Tenant
Pros:
Some rooms can be spacious
Cons:
Dirty, often. Management never responds. Kids like to hotbox the entrance to the building. Summers are awful because of block parties. LOTS OF NOISY NEIGHBORS.
Advice to owner:
Get it together!!!
