Good spot in Wash Heights
Former Tenant
Pros:
Laundry in building, overall well maintained, family building, close to both 1 and C trains
Cons:
Minor roach issues, management/super was not always responsive and there was a language barrier at times in communication, first floor unit so street noise could get loud, people often hanging on front stoop/could have some more enforced security

Great for the price with lots of noise
Former Tenant
Pros:
Newly updated units are great value. Appliances are nice and windows are bright. Good pipes to the sinks and the water is cold and crisp and fresh.
Cons:
People leave trash in the hallways, and sometimes drunk people pass out on the stairs. Front door and garbage door locks are trash and nobodys keys work good on them. Needs replacement. Roaches now and again. Heat is weak and kicks on late at night, and not for long. Windows are drafty. Drains aren’t good, no matter how much draino you use. The Super is not very responsive and will not come when he says he will. Water gets randomly shut off sometimes with no written notice for “maintenance”. LOTS of noise from Broadway, but that isn’t the building’s fault persay.
Advice to owner:
Get a better super, get pest control, and install cameras, and update the locks and keys to the front door and trash.
