Pros:
Building is full of friendly old women who will look out for you!
Cons:
Where do I begin? My apartment was DISGUSTING when I moved in. There was pee behind the toilet, pubes everywhere, crumbs in the kitchen, and tons of dust and dirt everywhere. After move in, I discovered water damage and mold in a cabinet, to which management has been non responsive. The worst thing though is that there are tons of roaches. Management sent someone in to exterminate last week, but the bug situation didn’t change. Management then refused to send someone in, so I paid out of pocket ($200) for a real exterminator to help me out. He said something to me that you never want to hear and exterminator say: “Honey, if I were you, I’d break my lease.” The building is *infested* and my agent told me there was “no history of bug issues”. There are even dead roaches out on the stairs, so clearly this is a larger issue than just my place. I’m moving out ASAP.
Advice to owner:
Get the roach problem under control. Tell potential residents the truth about the building when they ask.
