Full of Mice
Former Tenant
Pros:
Super is very nice and does a good job trying to keep the building clean. He tries to help resolve problems within the apartment.
Cons:
Mice live in the walls and end up in the apartment. 40+ mice caught in the past year. Had brief roach infestation. Building has regular pest control and will send someone out if they believe the tenants can sue; however the building does not provide any permanent/long term solutions to fix the problem.

Mid Apartment for Price
Former Tenant
Pros:
Thick walls, so can barely hear neighbors. On site super.
Cons:
Bug problems, specifically small cockroaches but they have an exterminator come monthly. Issue is when surrounding apartments don't let him in. Also, apartment does not get good light. Heat is not consistently on in winter.
Advice to owner:
Dont be cheap

Loud building Rude management, lots of mold
Former Tenant
Pros:
Conveniently located near the A express train. Super lives in building. Apartment was spacious.
Cons:
Insanely noisy neighbors, even more noise if your apartment faces front of building located across the street from a public school. Many pest issues of mice and roaches. Often neighbors would leave trash in the hallway. Management is extremely lazy and rude! It took them 6 months to replace my broken refrigerator. One of the bedrooms was covered in mold, only to learn the entire side of the right side of the building was covered in mold due to an air-conditioner from a top floor apartment and by law they were not required to tell anyone. Lastly, upon moving out I learned of asbestos issues in the building. The rude Management over charges on the market rate apartments to try and make up for the many rent stabilized apartments in the building that are paying a third of the market rate apartments prices.
Advice to owner:
Price your apartments fairly in comparison to your stabilized apartments. Hire a team that is not rude to your tenants. Treat your long term on time paying tenants with respect! Keep trash out of the hallway. Get rid of the mold.
