Spacious but in need of more maintenance, per
Former Tenant
Pros:
High ceilings, good radiators, proximity to parks and directly adjacent to subway
Cons:
some tenants are rude and unclean , trash & cigaratte butts are tossed in the common areas and elevator.
Advice to owner:
Enforce hygiene policies better as pest issues will ( and are) arise as a result

Great building and nice apartments but A&E building management ignores you.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great building, nice spacious apartments with character and high ceilings. Corridors and lobby kept clean. Super is kind and cares about the tenants. Laundry in building. Very close to the A train and J Hood Wright Park.
Cons:
A&E building management responds 1/20 times you contact them and acts as if it is the first time. Heat this winter has not been on during some very cold periods and then way too hot, even on mild days. Some pest issues and some noise issues i.e. loud music. Package theft issues, like most buildings without a doorman.
Advice to owner:
Respond to tenants..isn't this your job? Get tenants with pest issues to treat them and enforce noise rules per the lease.
