Living in Squalor

Pros:
Close to the train, next door to the library, close to parks
Cons:
Extremely poor maintenance, very over priced for conditions and proximity/noisiness of highway.
On multiple occasions we had no running water for days at a time. One occurrence happened near the beginning of the Covid shut down. We couldn’t even wash our hands and the management did not respond for a full week. The water temperature changes drastically and quickly while taking a shower almost burning me many times. The heating is very sporadic and most of the time it is absolutely freezing. The hallway and stairwell are filthy, never cleaned, and covered in garbage. There’s no respect for your neighbors in this building and no enforcement of that. There are both extremely bad cockroach and mice infestations. Garbage is just kept in the hallway of the first floor so the building smells like garbage all the time. The super and other tenants have loud parties in front of the building until the early morning hours. The volume level of the music shakes the whole building. No sleep.
Advice to owner:
Maintain your building. Your tenants are humans that deserve basic living conditions.
