Land lord needs to pay for the roof not tenants
Former Tenant
Pros:
Quiet, pretty clean, great super.
Cons:
Security isn’t great, front door often broken, basement door never locked.
Advice to owner:
Pay for your own roof, we are already paying for the elevator.

Prewar building —30 Dongan Place, NY, NY 10040
Former Tenant
Pros:
Prewar building with great potential, but landlord doesn’t care to maintain property. Thank goodness for wonderful super!
Cons:
The landlord is inconsiderate, greedy and cheap!! Has converted one bedroom apartments to two bedrooms and has not increased the little/non-existence level of maintenance he used to provide. The lobby and stairs have material not appropriate for residential or commercial use as it’s granite and extremely dangerous especially when wet. Doesn’t want to spend money on cleaning supplies or water to hose down the dirty side walk!
