Still would recommend
Former Tenant
Pros:
It’s relatively cheap and close to the subway. It doesn’t require a lot of paperwork for application. Amazing neighbors and I made a lot of friends.
Cons:
There were some pests in the summer. The roommates also changed frequently.

Conveniently located
Former Tenant
Pros:
Conveniently located to A and 1 lines allowing easy access to midtown.
Cons:
Neighbors tend to play loud music throughout the evening during summer months.
Advice to owner:
Super requires repeated reminders before repair issues get addressed.

Washington Heights Apt
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to the train and lots of shops, restaurants, etc. Friendly neighbors (for the most part)
Cons:
The landlord is shady. Will harass you if you complain. Get everything in writing with the landlord, even if he tries to call you when you send him a message, be sure to keep receipts. Also, the super, you have to call about 6 times before something will get fixed and he doesn’t keep his appointments. If he says he’ll be there at 2pm on Saturday, he’ll be there at 6pm on Friday.
Advice to owner:
Don’t be so awful. Sell the property.
