OK building, but terrible tenants and not useful super
Former Tenant
Pros:
There's a live-in super who can handle super basic issues. There's also a trash and laundry room.
Cons:
The tenants are awful, particularly on the third floor. The super is also not handy and, in order to save money, the management company will often make him try to fix things which can cause considerable stress and mess.
Advice to owner:
Hire a new super.

Lovely Place
Former Tenant
Pros:
The super of this building is one of the best I've ever had - kind and friendly, super responsive and helpful. The units are nice, open, and clean. You're right next to the GW Bridge which you would think would be noisy and annoying, but it actually sort of provides white noise which is nice.
Cons:
I lived on the fifth floor so when the elevator went out of order that made things difficult. It probably went out 3-4 times a year, for a day or two. Towards the end of our tenancy we had a roach problem, and it was very difficult to get a hold of the exterminator outside of their monthly walkthrough.
I also lived below someone's washer/dryer room apparently, because when they did laundry it felt like the ceiling was going to crash through.
Advice to owner:
It would be helpful to be able to email the property owner rather than only have a phone number to call with issues. Lovely building though.

Best Super Ever
Former Tenant
Pros:
The super is the best. So friendly and responsive and professional. He keeps the building so clean and nice. Most neighbors are lovely.
Cons:
Some neighbors smoke and we can smell it in our apartment. We can also hear when people are yelling in the surrounding apartments. Also there are 4 washers and 4 dryers in the building but management turned off the dryers earlier this year. We have no idea when we will be able to do laundry again. Management in general is challenging to get a hold of and somewhat unreasonable when it comes to repairs. If it’s in the super’s control though, it will get done fast.
Advice to owner:
Be more responsive to the needs of your tenants.

Nice place to live
Former Tenant
Pros:
Everything is well maintained for the most part
Cons:
Dryers have been broken for like two months
Over 3 years ago
Chill, in the middle of everything.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Everything except the owners. 3 parks in easy walking distance.
Cons:
The owners have not fixed the dryers in months, exposing their own incompetence

Not great to live
Former Tenant
Pros:
The unit has some nice updates (fridge and oven/stove). Good location near the A express train and near J. Hood Wright Park.
Cons:
The building itself is dirty and not well maintained. The neighbors are loud and police were often called to domestic disturbances when I lived here. There was also a drug bust and a broken hallway window one night after some neighbors got into an argument. One neighbor also lets their dog urinate in the halls and doesn’t pick up. The laundry machines were broken for MONTHS.
