You get what you pay for
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good neighbors Good apartment size Quiet area
Cons:
Could be cleaner and better maintained Slow responsiveness from super Super’s family and friends in the building get VIP treatment
Advice to owner:
Hire someone that actually wants to care for the building and the tenants. It is embarrassing being the only building not plowed when it snows, raked when leaves fall and just taken care of correctly. The fact that not one tenant can reach the super in the middle of a day during an emergency is ridiculous.

Devalued Property
Former Tenant
Pros:
•High Heat •Good water pressure
Cons:
•Dirty Building •Noisy Tenants/Noisy Building Management •Incompetent Building Management •Horrible Insulation •Broken down windows •Water Damage on walls and ceiling •No repairs are ever done or completed •Apartment conditions are horrible
Advice to owner:
Your building needs to be managed better, your porter and building management never complete repairs nor do they do them. The elevator, hallways and stairs are always disgustingly dirty and its very concerning during a world wide pandemic that's severely affecting NYC. I feel that you should do more surprise visits and hold your building management accountable for the conditions of the building. Create a schedule for repairs and inspect repairs. Management is never available for repairs and when they say they are, they come for a few minutes and always walk away saying there's an emergency and never come back to finish repairs.

Unlivable
Former Tenant
Pros:
The outside of the building will fool you.
Cons:
1. Tenants are ignored. When tenants ask the building super to perform his job duties and make repairs, he takes months to make the repairs, if at all. 2. The staff is basically unresponsive, rude, loud, or all three. 3. The repairs the super does get around to making are either done with no attention to detail or incorrectly. 4. There is no easy, modern way to get in contact with the super. (e.g. building website w/email and calendar)
Advice to owner:
1. Please hire someone to create a quick website for your building where tenants can log into to make requests for repairs, track their requests, see the supers calendar, pay rent, etc. 2. Hire a more professional building crew capable of making repairs correctly and in a timely manner.
